Winners of the Maine Constitution Essay and Poster Program

The Maine Constitution Essay and Poster Program is designed to promote the history of Maine, the Maine Constitution and the importance of democracy and voting.

This program was open to Maine students at all grade levels. 320 entries for the 2021 program from students all over the state of Maine were received.

Declan Wotton, Grade 6, of the St. Michael School, Augusta and Olga Baciu, Grade 11, from the Highview Christian School, Charleston, were the Essay Contest winners.

The winning Maine Symbols poster depicted a picnic scene, created by first-grader Sophia Hall of Jackman. The History Poster Contest image was won by 4th grader Evelyn Simons of the Cape Cod Hill School, New Sharon.
