Maine State Police Seek Subject in Lewiston Homicide

On Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 11:17 p.m., the Lewiston Police Department responded to Pierce Street after receiving a 911 call reporting a deceased female in the hallway. During their investigation Officers located a deceased female and contacted the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit for follow up. On Monday, December 12, 2022, the unidentified female was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta (OCME). 

The OCME conducted an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide. This victim has been identified as 25-year-old Lacresha Howard of Lewiston. Major Crimes Unit Detectives and members of the Maine State Police Evidence Response Team were on scene all day Monday interviewing witnesses and processing the scene. On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, investigators with the Maine State Police obtained an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Eddie Massie of the Lewiston area, for the charge of murder. Massie is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public.

A dedicated tip line has been set up at the Lewiston Police Department to receive calls from the public with information on Massie’s location. The dedicated line for the public is (207)-513-3001 extension 3324. Massie is described as a black male, 6’04”, 170 lbs. and walks with a limp. Massie goes by two different street names, Fast Eddie, and TT.
