Voters May Decide if Maine Gets a ‘New’ State Flag

  • Post category:Local / News

This fall Maine voters may get to make the decision if the current state flag will be replaced a design of a pine tree and blue star. The latter of which was designed in 1909, based on the 1901 state flag.

Voters will decide thanks to todays, June 12, vote in The Maine House that supports a statewide referendum.

Gov. Janet Mills still needs to sign the bill into law.
