Flash flooding and the heavy rain from the major storm a few weeks ago caused major damage at the Union Fairgrounds.
Damage includes the front stretch of the racetrack, side stairs to the grandstand, the boardwalk behind the grandstand, and the deck connected the pavilion.
It could take over $20,000 to help repair the damage.
The Friends of the Union Fair Society has started a Racetrack Rescue Fund. Checks can be mailed to:
