Two Seriously Injured in Woolwich Crash

A crash along Middle Road in Woolwich is under investigation that left a woman and 4-year-old boy seriously injured.

The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office says a Toyota Rav-4 driven by a 31-year-old Bath woman went off the road around last night, June 13, and crashed into a cluster of trees.

The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by Life Flight to to Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The toddler, a passenger, was also taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash.
