Two workers with the Maine Department of Transportation were seriously injured on a job site in Cushing this morning, July 25.
Both workers, who have not been identified, were pinned between an excavator and a flatbed trailer near the intersection of River Road and Pleasant Point Road.
The two are currently stable at Pen Bay Medical Center.

The safety of our employees and the traveling public is always MaineDOT’s primary concern. The department has reported the incident to the Maine Department of Labor, which has jurisdiction over incidents at state job sites, and is working with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
