Former President Donald Trump has been found liable for for battery and defamation involving a 1996 sexual assault. The civil suit was brought by E Jean Carroll in November after Trump posted that her claims of assault were a lie. The jury, that deliberated for 3 hours, awarded $5 million in total damages.
Trump was found not liable for rape.
