43-year-old Keith Merchant of Starks was arrested last week and charged with, among other things, sexual abuse of a minor. Charges include two counts of gross sexual assault, three counts of unlawful sexual contact, two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and one count of violating conditions of release.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office says the victim is under 15 years old.
According to the Morning Sentinele, Merchant is scheduled to appear in court on October 25.
