The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the deadline for getting your REAL ID.
The original deadline was October 1, 2021 and now, because of the pandemic, is May 3, 2023.
Everyone over the age of 18 will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card, state-issued enhanced driver’s license, or another TSA-acceptable form of identification at airport security checkpoints for domestic air travel.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the deadline for enforcing the REAL ID policy by 19 months: https://t.co/FQOYtHpNyL
