Travis J. Mosely, 23, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire led New Hampshire State Police on a vehicle pursuit into Maine after ramming a Rochester Police cruiser.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at approximately 12:44 pm, 23-year-old Travis J. Mosely of Portsmouth, New Hampshire led New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) on a vehicle pursuit into Maine after ramming a NHSP cruiser and a Rochester Police cruiser. NHSP stopped pursuing the vehicle. After a short period of time Mosely was seen operating northbound on Route One in Wells where he turned around and led the Maine State Police on a vehicle pursuit southbound that later entered the Maine Turnpike. Once on the Turnpike Troopers were able to deploy tire deflating devices in York that assisted in stopping the vehicle. Mosley was operating a silver 2018 Ford Escape and was the sole occupant in the vehicle. No other vehicles sustained damages besides State and Municipal police cruisers. Mosley was taken into custody and transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital for minor injuries. Mosley was wanted on outstanding felony warrants and charged by the Maine State Police for Eluding, Driving to Endanger, and Criminal Speed. Additional charges are pending from other agencies involved. The Turnpike remained opened with one lane shut down and the flow of traffic was affected for a minimal amount of time. York Fire and Rescue and the Maine Turnpike Authority assisted on scene.
