It may be football season, but baseball is making some news. Major League Baseball has announced some major rule changes, starting next season.
Breaking: MLB's competition committee has voted to implement a pitch clock, larger bases and ban defensive shifts starting in 2023, sources tell @JeffPassan.

The #MLB extra-inning rule with the automatic baserunner on 2nd base beginning in the 10th inning was not addressed in the competition talks. It's expected to be addressed this winter, or perhaps as late as spring training.
