The Maine Legislature yesterday, June 20, approved a measure requiring MaineCare to cover gender affirming care. It has been passed by both chambers of the legislature.
Under the bill, MaineCare, the state’s Medicaid program, cannot decline to reimburse someone for treatment for or related to gender dysphoria.
