Maine State Police Investigate Lincolnville Homicide

This weekend Matthew Pendleton, 47, of Lincolnville was charged with the murder of Kevin Curit, 47, of Lincolnville.

From the Maine State Police:

On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 9:39 am, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from 54 Thorndike Road in Lincolnville for an unresponsive male.  Sheriff Deputies responded and found 47-year-old Kevin Curit of Lincolnville deceased. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit responded. Detectives and Evidence Technicians worked throughout the day and into the early morning hours of Saturday conducting interviews and processing the scene.  An autopsy was conducted at the Office of Chief Medical
Examiner in Augusta on Saturday morning.  As a result of the autopsy, the death was ruled a homicide. The cause of death is being withheld at this time as requested by the Attorney General’s Office. On Saturday evening State Police Detectives arrested 47-year-old Matthew Pendleton of Lincolnville and charged him with murder. Pendleton was transported to the Waldo County Jail where he is being held without bail.
