Maine CDC Announces New COVID-19 School Guidelines

The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced today, Jan. 12, that school districts with universal mask mandates can now suspend contact tracing.

The reason is because of the higher contagiousness and spread of the omicron variant. According to the CDC, that has reduced the effectiveness of contact tracing in schools.
