Life-Threatening Injuries After Wiscasset Crash

Part of Route 1 in Wiscasset was closed for several hours early this morning, May 31, and a Maine man suffered life-threatening injuries. A car hit a mobile home that was being transported on a truck in Wiscasset on Bath Road near Grover’s Auto.

Police say a 25-year-old Friendship man was driving a Ford Mustang when he crossed the center line and hit a mobile home that was being transported on a truck. The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Midcoast Hospital and later flown via Life Flight to Maine Medical Center.

There is no word yet on his condition.
