Jay Crash Investigation Continues

The Maine State Police and the Jay Police Department are investigating an incident that took place in Jay this Tuesday evening, March 28.

From the Maine State Police:

The Jay Police Department received a report of a robbery at the Label Shopper store in the Jay Plaza. An Officer located the vehicle as it was leaving the plaza and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle, a silver 2008 Pontiac G6, pulled over and stopped but then continued driving north on Main Street. The Officer pursued the vehicle into North Jay when the vehicle crashed in the area of Rt. 17 at the Rt. 4 intersection in North Jay. Both occupants were transported via life flight to area hospitals. The driver of the vehicle was 33-year-old Vanessa Gordon of Livermore Falls. Gordon who has a revoked license sustained life threatening injuries. The passenger was 38-year-old Joshua Allen of Farmington . Allen suffered serious injuries in the crash. Maine State Police is handling the crash investigation while Jay Police are handling the Robbery incident.
