Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 1:00 p.m. at the State House in Augusta, Governor Janet Mills will unveil her Administration’s budget proposal for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 biennium.
According to the Revenue Forecasting Committee, the State of Maine is projected to receive $10.5 billion in revenue for Fiscal Years 2024-2025 and $11.6 billion in revenue for Fiscal Years 2026-2027.
The Governor’s previous budget measure met the state’s obligation to pay 55 percent of the cost of education for the first time in history, restored revenue sharing with Maine municipalities, provided tax relief to working Maine families, and replenished the Land for Maine’s Future Program, among several other initiatives.
Governor Mills will be joined by Kirsten Figueroa, Commissioner of the Department of Administrative and Financial Services.
