Gas Leak Forces Closure of Augusta City Hall

Augusta City Hall closed unexpectedly today, Oct. 10, because of a suspected natural gas leak.

The Augusta Fire Department responded and the building was evacuated. The Augusta Fire Department and City staff worked to address the issue.

The 5 p.m. Rental Regulation Task Force Meeting was canceled.

The City of Augusta Facebook page will post information about when the building will reopen.
