The Warden Service located the body of for 40-year-old Joseph Jimino of Naples, who had not been seen since the evening of Thursday, September 7.
From Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife:
The initial investigation indicates that Jimino died due to injuries sustained in an ATV crash along the South Tamworth Rd in Otisfield. This dirt road is part of the ATV trail network in the area, and his ATV was found near him. His death is not considered suspicious. The investigation remains open, and Jimino will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death.
Jimino was found at approximately 9:00 a.m. by a game warden who was searching area ATV trails for signs of Jimino. The Maine Warden Service was searching the Naples/Otisfield area with the help of Cumberland County’s Sheriff’s Office, the Naples Fire Department and the Casco Fire Department.
Jimino was last in contact with friends on the evening of Thursday, September 7. He stated that he was out riding his ATV. He did not show up for work on Friday the 8th or Monday the 11th of September.
Wardens, sheriffs, and fire department personnel searched ATV trails Monday evening (September 11th) after being notified of Jimino’s disappearance. Heavy rains and darkness lead to the search being suspended last night but searchers including law enforcement and fire fighters resumed searching this morning at 7:00 a.m.
