Gov. Janet Mills has joined President Joe Biden to direct that all flags be flown at half-staff to honor the eight victims killed during the shooting rampage in the Atlanta area earlier this week.
Flags will be flown at half-staff through Monday, March 22.
On behalf of the people of Maine, I express our deepest condolences to the families and friends who are mourning the loss of their loved ones, and we share in the pain of Asian Americans as they seek to heal and feel safe in the wake of this horrific attack.
In honor of the victims of the senseless shootings in Atlanta, I’ve ordered the flag of the United States to be flown at half-staff. To the loved ones of those we lost on Tuesday, know the nation mourns with you. pic.twitter.com/abZDiisNAf
