‘Do Not Drink Order’ Because of Foam Contamination After Waterville Fire

The Kennebec Water District has issued a “Do Not Drink Order.” Customers are urged not to drink the water or use it for any purpose that will result in consumption.

There is firefighting foam in the water distribution system that entered the water distribution system while crews were battling a fire on Elm Street in Waterville this morning, May 22.
