Reports say Christmas Tree Shops, a New England retailer with three locations in Maine, is reportedly preparing for a bankruptcy filing.
The Wall Street Journal, citing “people familiar with the matter,” reports that the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing could happen as soon as this weekend.
CBS News reports that said Ken Morris of Cambridge Retail Advisors said, “Chapter 11 isn’t the end of the road. It is really a way for firms to restructure… This allows them to restructure some of their debt.”
