40-year-old Paul M. Adams of Augusta was recently arrested and charged with among other things, trafficking in fentanyl.
According to WGME, the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office found fentanyl pills that look like children’s vitamins after Adams was suspected of driving under the influence.
Adams was spotted crossing over the double yellow lines on River Road in Chelsea on July 12. They pulled the driver over and suspected he was under the influence.
Discovered in a search of the vehicle was 6.5 grams of crack cocaine and 16.4 grams of suspected fentanyl pills.
