Augusta Man Charged with Defacing Law Enforcement Memorial

39-year-old Justin Larrabee of Augusta has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief for defacing the Maine Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Augusta during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 28.

From the Maine State Police:

Following a joint investigation between the Capitol Police and the Augusta Police Department a search warrant was executed at a Riverside Road address in Augusta at approximately 3:00 pm today. The criminal summons was issued for defacing the Memorial and another vandalism incident in the city which took place a few days following the incident at the Capitol complex.

On behalf of the Maine Chiefs of Police Association and the Augusta Police, I want to recognize the investigators with the Augusta and Capitol Police for the countless hours they spent to bring this investigation to a successful resolution.
