29-year-old Dimitry Dubrovsky of Bar Harbor and 30-year-old Duncan Haass of Lamoine have been charged with attempted murder and other crimes.

On Friday, July 14, 2023, at 9:57 pm, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence at 21 Stolt Road in Lamoine after someone called 911 to say they heard an altercation and gun shots at that location and then witnessed people leaving the scene. Deputies responded to the scene where they found evidence to support the caller’s report. Law enforcement from Hancock SO, Bar Harbor PD, Maine State Police Northern Field Troop, and Detectives with the Maine State Police MCU-North responded to the area to attempt to locate the involved parties and investigate the incident. Two suspects were identified but the victim was not immediately located. A later 911 call reported locating 37-year-old Spencer Trott, who had been staying at the 21 Stolt Road residence, walking on Bayside Road in Ellsworth. Hancock SO arrived with EMS to find Trott was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to Northern Light Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth and then Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Trott’s injuries are serious but he is in stable condition. Further investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Dimitry Dubrovsky of Bar Harbor and 30-year-old Duncan Haass of Lamoine on Saturday July 15, 2023.
